What You Need to Know About Vape Flavors & Vape Juice
The variety and flavor profiles out there can confuse you when shopping for vape flavors. On top of this, the lingo used can mess with your head. So let’s help you sift through the noise and understand vape flavors even more.
What’s Vape Juice, Really?
Vape juice, e-liquid, and e-juice are the names of the same thing. This liquid is compromised of 4 main ingredients, namely:
- Nicotine (Not Always)
Nicotine, an alkaloid, is found in nightshade plants like potatoes, tomatoes, tobacco, and tomatoes. It works as a stimulant and relaxes you. However, nicotine is an addictive substance, which is why some people prefer e-liquids without nicotine.
- Vegetable Glycerin
It’s a clear, thick liquid extracted from palm trees and soybeans. Keep in mind it’s not similar to vegetable oil. It’s FDA-approved water soluble and is recognized as safe for human ingestion.
- Propylene Glycol
This is a colorless and odorless liquid extracted from petroleum. It has a faintly sweet taste and a syrupy texture. It’s also an FDA-approved chemical safe for human ingestion.
- Flavoring
Flavoring is a concentrate that is a combination of artificial or natural flavoring. Most manufacturers use food-grade flavors to replicate the natural taste.
Vape Juice goes inside your e-cig or vape. Normally, vape liquid is heated to anything between 90 to 200 degree Celsius. Once it’s heated to the right temperature, the liquid changes to vapor, which you inhale.
